When Testy sets a question in a conversation it appears on the stage, the panel beside the chat, and is answered there: choose or type an answer, then press Check. Testy marks it on the spot and the result appears under the question. A question that is greyed out with no Check button has closed and cannot be answered any more; ask Testy for another one.
Answering on the stage
- Show a hint reveals a hint when a question carries one. Asking Testy in the chat for a hint works too; the first time, he gives a hint rather than the answer.
- Check sends the answer. After marking, the result and an explanation appear under the question, and buttons under the message box offer the next step.
- Close puts the question away without answering it. Nothing is counted against the student.
Looking back at earlier questions
Every question a conversation has produced stays in it. In the chat, an earlier question shows as a small card with Open it again, which puts it back on the stage to read. When more than one question has been set, arrows at the top of the stage step between them, and Back to the current question returns to the live one.
Why a question is greyed out
A question that was set on an earlier day and never answered closes by itself. The same happens to a question the student closed. Opening it again shows it locked: the options do not respond, there is no Check button, and a line under it reads This question has closed. Ask Testy for another one. This is not a fault. Ask Testy for a fresh question, or press Ask for another under the message box, and a new one takes the stage.
Testy questions and LearningHub questions
These are two different things. A question on Testy's stage is written by Testy for the conversation and answered with Check. A LearningHub question opens on its own exam-style screen with Check answer and Skip for now, and a Comeback chip there means a question missed earlier has returned. Testy can open LearningHub, but he does not set comeback questions himself.
