LearningHub, TypingHub & Testy
The everyday tools inside your account: LearningHub for skill practice one question at a time, TypingHub for touch typing, the forum for asking a teacher, and Testy, the AI coach who sits in the corner of the site and has a page of his own.
LearningHub is skill practice one question at a time, with an explanation on every answer and a mastery dot for every skill.
Testy is the AI coach built into Test Academy. He sits in the corner of most pages and has a page of his own for real tutoring.
How a LearningHub question is answered, where Show explanation lives, and what Skip for now does.
LearningHub does not set a difficulty level. It picks the skill worth practising next and brings back the questions you got wrong.
How a LearningHub skill becomes mastered, what resets the dots, and where a student sees their progress.
A question missed in Maths or Thinking comes back later inside normal practice. There is no comebacks list to open.
An account without a bundle gets a limited number of free LearningHub questions that never refill. Bundle and class students get a daily allowance.
Battle puts a small group of students on the same question with the same clock, with a chat rail and a Top battlers board.
TypingHub is touch typing practice, open to every signed in account. It needs a computer keyboard.
The four typing test modes, what wpm, raw, accuracy and consistency mean, and which runs count on a board.
The Learning pathway teaches vocabulary and typing together: reps of the word, then its sentences, typed cleanly.
A typing Battle is a live race against other students, with a rating, a lobby and a chat rail beside it.
Every typing mode and setting has its own board, with a weekly and an all time view. Only clean runs on plain settings count.
The Testy dock knows which page you are on and suggests what to ask. It can also report a problem to the team.
Testy's page is the tutoring side: conversations, mental maths drills, vocabulary practice and a progress screen.
Testy's writing studio marks a whole piece, gives bands and next steps, and pins notes beside the lines they are about.
On a marked paper Testy can see the question on screen, what was answered and why, and explain it in the student's own words.
Your plan is Testy's running list of what to do next, on the dashboard and on Testy's page, with a Week view and your own tasks.
The guided tour walks through the dashboard step by step. It never starts by itself: ask Testy, or press Tutorial.
The Getting started list inside the Testy dock ticks itself off as a student actually does each thing.
Testy has two separate allowances, one for tutoring and one for the dock. One refills daily, and for some accounts the tutoring one is a one off.
The forum is a moderated study room: ask a question and get a worked answer from a Test Academy teacher.
The forum comes with any Test Academy course or online bundle. Without one the pill shows a padlock.
