The WritingHub Gym teaches one writing skill at a time: a short lesson, a warm-up, then your own writing marked by Testy, with up to three stars a skill.
Mental maths on Testy's page: ten kinds of sum, four modes (Classic, Sprint, Daily challenge, Practice), skipping, personal bests and a daily streak.
Type maths between dollar signs and it shows as proper maths as you write, or use the f(x) keypad. Enter sends, Shift and Enter adds a new line.
Testy can give a little bonus XP for real achievements in a student's work. He only looks at what the student has actually done, so asking for XP does not work.
On a marked paper Testy can see the question on screen, what was answered and why, and explain it in the student's own words.

Testy has two separate allowances, one for tutoring and one for the dock. One refills daily, and for some accounts the tutoring one is a one off.
The forum is a full page study community: channels to chat in, Q&A with teacher-verified answers, and practice questions talked through together.
The forum comes with any Test Academy course or online bundle. Without one the pill shows a padlock.

Forum GIFs and name colours are unlocked with XP. The forum spends XP but never earns it.

Direct messages are only between students and teachers. Shared rooms are checked automatically and anyone posting too fast is slowed down.
