Battle is the competitive corner of LearningHub. A small group of students answer the same question on the same clock, round after round, and the fastest correct answers win. It is reached from the Battle pill in the LearningHub navigation.
Hosting or joining
- Host a battle sits at the top of the page. Pick a subject, search the skill list, and choose the skill the battle will be about. Hosting opens a room with a short code.
- Open lobbies lists rooms other students have opened and are waiting to fill. Press Join on one to take a seat.
During and after
Everyone sees the same question at the same time, then the answer is revealed before the next round. When the battle finishes it appears under Your recent battles, which records the skill, the score, who else played and who won. Tapping a row replays it round by round.
Battle chat
A chat column runs down the side of the Battle page, headed Battle chat. It is a moderated room shared by everyone using Battle, and on a narrow screen it collapses to a tab that slides out. Every message is screened before anyone else sees it.
Boards
Top battlers ranks students by battles won, with the student's own standing shown underneath.
If Battle is unavailable
The pill sometimes shows Paused. That is the team switching Battle off for a while; the rest of LearningHub carries on as normal and a battle already running is allowed to finish. A student whose account has been restricted from Battle sees a note saying so, and can still practise solo.
