The forum's Settings, under You on a phone, set how the forum looks, sounds and keeps in touch. The theme chosen there is one setting for the whole account, shared with LearningHub and TypingHub.
Appearance
Choose Match device, Light or Dark. On a computer there is also a quick theme button on the rail down the left.
The same theme is set by the theme button in the LearningHub top bar and in the TypingHub settings, where dark is called Focus and match device is called System. Changing it in any one of them changes it in all three. It is saved to the account rather than the browser, so it follows the student to another computer.
A few things always stay light, like a real exam paper: LearningHub question screens, shared questions opened from Discuss, and working out paper.
Sending and sound
- Enter sends a message is on to begin with. Turn it off and Ctrl+Enter, or Cmd+Enter on a Mac, sends instead, while Enter starts a new line. On a phone or tablet keyboard, Enter always starts a new line and the send button sends.
- Sound effects switches the small sounds on or off. It is the same setting LearningHub uses.
The Email part of Settings chooses which forum notifications are also emailed. Forum emails and notifications explains each one.
Muted channels
Muting a channel, with the bell beside its name in the channel list, stops it showing as unread. Muted channels in Settings lists every channel you have muted, with a button to unmute each one.
