Preparing for a session

Where to find it
Admin dashboard > Teach > 1-on-1 Tutoring > Prep

Before a session, a tutor opens Prep from their sessions list to see the student and get the material ready. Nothing here is visible to the family.

The brief

The prep screen opens with a short written brief about the student, their weak areas, and either a mastery breakdown (specialist track) or a skill progress list (general track), plus the focus the family set when booking. The brief and the focus can both be read before anything is built.

Building the session

On the general track, a tutor picks skills, a difficulty and a question count, then generates a worksheet, or picks one already made from the bank. On the specialist track, a tutor picks questions by skill and by a student's own past wrong answers, adding each one to the session as they go.

History

A history panel shows the student's previous sessions with any tutor: focus, feedback, outcomes and assigned work, so a new tutor can pick up where the last one left off.

Starting the session

Once the material is ready, Open in console moves to the live session itself. See Running a live session.
