Reserving a spot with a deposit

A small deposit is how a family holds a place in a class. It takes about a minute, no account is needed, and it comes straight off your fees when you enrol. We ask for it so classes fill with families who are serious about a spot.

Enrol or Reserve a spot

The button on a class tile is Enrol when the term is already running and the class has seats, and Reserve a spot when the term has not started yet or the class is still filling. Both open the same window. A class that is still filling also says Starts once enough families join.

Paying the deposit

The window has three steps: Details, Deposit and Done. Details asks for the parent's full name, email and mobile, the student's full name and their year level. The deposit step takes a card payment through Stripe. When it clears you see a confirmation, and a Manage this reservation link that also arrives by email.

What the deposit means

  • It is credited on your enrolment invoice, so it is taken off what you pay.
  • It is refunded in full if the class never runs.
  • It is kept if the class runs and you decide not to go ahead.

What happens next

After an Enrol deposit, your enrolment invoice is emailed to you shortly afterwards with the deposit already taken off, platform access starts the moment you confirm, and a team member gets in touch. After a Reserve a spot deposit, a team member reaches out first, and before the term we arrange a full set of mock tests at home so everyone knows where your child stands in each section. Your invoice follows, again with the deposit taken off.

Checking your reservation

The manage link shows the class, the day, the time, the location and the term, and one of these states: Reserved while the spot is held, Payment pending if the deposit never completed, Converted once the enrolment is done, Refunded, Released if the class opened and the spot was not taken up before enrolment closed, or Cancelled. Email us from that page if any of it looks wrong.
