Cancelling a trial booking

Where to find it
Dashboard > Home > Upcoming Open it

You can cancel a trial yourself, right up until the session starts. There is nothing to pay and nothing to reclaim, so cancelling costs you only the seat.

Two ways to do it

  • On your classroom page, find the session card marked Free trial under Upcoming and press Cancel trial. You are asked to confirm first.
  • From the confirmation or reminder email, follow the cancel link back to your booking page and press Cancel booking.

What happens straight away

The seat goes back to the class for another family, the session disappears from your classroom page, and we email you to confirm the cancellation. Any classroom or classwork access the booking gave your child for that session ends with it. The email also carries a link back to the booking page and, where it applies, to enrolling in the course instead.

Before you cancel, read this

A cancelled trial counts as a trial you did not use, and each course only allows so many trials per family. So if you simply want a different date, do not cancel: ask us to move the booking instead and nothing is spent. See Moving a trial to another date.

Can you book again after cancelling

Usually yes, once. A trial that was never sat leaves the course open to one more booking, so you can go back to /trial/ and choose a new session, including the same class. The rules are set out in Booking a trial again.

If you cannot cancel in time

If the session has already started, or the button does not do what you expect, reply to your confirmation email and tell us. We would always rather know than have a family marked absent.
