A trial your child never sat does not close the course to you. If they were marked absent, or you cancelled, you can book that course again, including straight back into the class they missed. Go to /trial/ and book as you did the first time.
What uses a trial up
A trial is used once your child sits it, and once it is used the course is closed to further trial bookings. Enrolling in the course off the back of a trial closes it too, for the obvious reason that you are in the class now. Being marked absent, or cancelling before the day, does not count as using it, because your child never got the class.
Where the line is
The second chance is the end of it. Once a course has had its trials, whether they were sat or let go, the booking page stops offering it and tells you to get in touch. That is not a brush off: our team can arrange a seat where it makes sense, so send us a message and say what happened. The limit exists so free seats are not held week after week by families who never come, which is unfair on the ones waiting for a place.
What is not affected
- Other courses. The allowance is per course, so using up one course leaves the rest untouched.
- A course you are enrolled in. You cannot trial a class your child already has a place in, paid or pending.
- Your account. Nothing needs reopening, resetting or asking for. If the wizard offers you the course, you can book it.
If you are not sure where you stand
Open /trial/ and pick the course. The page checks as you go and tells you plainly if that course is no longer available to trial, and Testy can look up what you currently hold. Do not assume from an old email.
