Homework in the top menu is the full picture for a term, built for a parent checking progress. Every session of every class enrolment is a row, in order, whether the homework is done, open, overdue or was never set.
Choosing a term
If the student has been enrolled in more than one term, a row of term buttons sits at the top right. The page opens on the current term, and a green dot marks it. Earlier terms stay readable, and work can still be handed in for them.
The summary
Four tiles run across the top: Term progress as a bar, Completed, Outstanding and XP earned. Only homework that has actually been released counts, so a term that has barely started does not read as behind.
The rows
Each class has its own card with a progress bar, and each session inside it carries a label:
- Unlocks after class: the lesson has not happened yet.
- Due: ready to hand in.
- Overdue or Not submitted: past the window, still accepted.
- Processing upload: the pages are being assembled.
- Upload failed: something went wrong, with the reason and an Upload again button.
- Testy is marking: handed in, marking under way.
- Mark it yourself: uploaded, but Testy could not mark it, so the student marks it against the answers and presses Finish to earn the XP.
- Different homework: the pages were another week's; contact us to sort it out.
- Tests to finish: marked, but a test set for that lesson is outstanding.
- Complete: marked, with the score and the XP earned. Testy's marking completes a row straight away; the feedback cards are optional after that.
- No homework set: nothing was set for that session, and it is greyed out and not counted.
Any test set for a lesson sits on the same row as a chip: amber to sit, green with a tick to review. The button on the right is whatever that row needs next, Upload, Mark homework or See feedback.
Courses without booklet homework
Some courses do not set booklet homework at all. Their card says so, and no rows are counted against them.
1-on-1 tutoring homework
Homework set by a 1-on-1 tutor sits in its own section headed 1-on-1 tutoring, below the classes. It is not tied to a term, and it appears even when the student has no class enrolment. Open tasks come first with their due dates. A worksheet stays in the to-do list until 14 days after its due date and then moves to Earlier; other tasks move to Earlier once they are finished. A worksheet has Open, to write on it on screen, and Download PDF, and is not marked. See Feedback and assigned work.
