Submit homework from my booklet

2 min read Updated Oct. 2026
Where to find it
Test Academy app > Homework > Booklet

On a tablet, a student can write the week's homework straight into the booklet in the Test Academy app and hand it in from there, with no photos. Once the homework pages have writing on them, Submit homework from my booklet sends those pages to Testy, who marks them exactly as if they had been scanned.

Writing in the booklet

Writing works on a tablet: an iPad or an Android tablet. Open the session's booklet in the app and write with an Apple Pencil or a stylus. One finger scrolls the page and two fingers zoom, so moving around never leaves a mark. On a phone the booklet can be read but not written on.

It is the same booklet as on the website, so writing saved in the app is there on a computer too, and the other way round. Marks a teacher has made on the booklet cannot be erased by the student.

Handing it in

  1. Write the answers on the homework pages of the booklet, after the lesson has happened.
  2. Tap Submit homework from my booklet. The button appears once a homework page has writing on it.
  3. The homework pages, with the student's writing on them, are sent in as one document, and from there everything works as for a scan: Testy marks the pages and the feedback is ready to work through.

Only the student's own writing is sent. Anything a teacher wrote while checking the booklet is left out, so Testy marks the student's answers alone.

Same marking, same XP

A booklet hand in is marked the same way as photographed pages, earns XP by the same rules, and the parent receives the usual email when the marking is done. Taking photos of paper pages still works too, as described in Sending homework from the app. Either way, the feedback and the XP are covered in Your homework feedback.

When a teacher is checking the booklet

A teacher may open a student's booklet to review it. While they do, the student's writing pauses until the teacher finishes. Nothing already written is lost, and writing carries on as soon as the review is over.
