An online FlexiClass session runs on your child's own screen, joined from the FlexiClass page rather than from a link in an email.
Before the session
Choose Online instead of Parramatta on the toggle above the slot picker when you book. Until fifteen minutes before the session starts, the session card under My Sessions shows a note saying when it opens; after that, a Join Online Class button takes its place. Tapping it opens the session page in a new tab.
Joining
The session page has a header that stays on screen, showing the worksheet name, your child's tutor, a Join meeting button that opens the video call in its own tab, and an I need help button that changes to Help is coming until the tutor clears it. If the tutor is not ready yet, the page shows a waiting screen with the Join meeting button repeated large, and a button to hear a sample question read aloud.
During the session
The tutor pushes a worksheet or a whiteboard to your child's screen and writes on it while teaching, the same as writing on a page in person. Some question types are answered on screen; others, such as longer written answers, are still done on paper next to the screen, and the page says so. Your child needs paper and a pencil ready, the same as any FlexiClass session.
Breaks
If the tutor sets a break, the screen switches to a countdown showing the time left, and returns to the worksheet once the tutor brings the class back.
Results
Answers save as your child works, but which ones are correct only appears on screen once the tutor taps to show the results for that worksheet, the same as a tutor marking a printed sheet in person.
Two sittings in a row
FlexiClass sittings run back to back, and a child booked into both simply carries on. When the tutor ends the first sitting, the page shows the results and then moves on to the next sitting by itself, with a button for anyone who does not want to wait. The tutor stays in the same console the whole afternoon, so nothing changes on the call.
After the session
Once the window closes, opening the link again shows that the session has finished, with a link through to the marked sheets on your dashboard.
