Your daily streak and freezes

Dashboard > Leaderboard Open it

Your streak counts the days in a row you have earned at least 10 points. There is one streak for the whole platform, and the flame beside your name on the Leaderboard shows it. It replaces the old LearningHub and test streaks, so the same number appears everywhere.

The daily goal

A day counts when you earn 10 points between midnight and midnight Sydney time. Points come from any practice: tests, LearningHub and Testy questions, maths drills, Gym tasks and TypingHub. Ten LearningHub questions do it, and so does a single finished test. The Your streak panel on the Leaderboard shows your points so far today, how many more you need, and the smallest next step that gets you there.

A streak is alive all day. Today adds one to the number once you hit the goal, and a missed day only counts once it is over.

Freezes

A freeze covers a day you miss, so your streak keeps going. A frozen day keeps the streak but does not add to it. You never have to switch one on, because freezes are used automatically on a missed day.

  • Every student gets one free freeze each week, from Monday to Sunday. It comes back every Monday.
  • If the free one is already used, a freeze you have bought is used instead.
  • If there is nothing left to cover the day, the streak starts again from zero.

Buying more freezes

Open the yellow XP pill at the top of the dashboard. The shop has a Streak freeze card with a Buy button, and the same button appears on the Leaderboard under Your streak. A freeze costs 350 XP, you confirm before anything is spent, and there is no limit on how many you can hold. Freezes are for every student, and you buy them with XP, never with money.

What the calendar shows

The five-week calendar in Your streak marks each day as a goal met, a freeze, partly done or missed. Today has a ring around it.

If something looks wrong

If your streak looks lower than you expect, check that the day had at least 10 points on the calendar. Only real, finished test attempts count towards the goal. If it still looks wrong, use Contact us and tell us the date.
