The OC Mastery Holiday Class is a holiday intensive for Year 3 and Year 4 students preparing for the NSW Opportunity Class Placement Test. Each day is a full day at our Parramatta centre, covering all three OC test sections. Upcoming dates, the class size and the price are on the Class Schedule at the bottom of this page.
What a day looks like
- Arrival: students log in and settle in the testing lab.
- Morning: timed tests across Mathematical Reasoning, Reading and Thinking Skills, under exam conditions. The questions are written fresh for each session.
- Pizza lunch: lunch is provided. While the students eat, tutors read the analytics and print a personalised booklet for each of them covering all three sections.
- Afternoon: an interactive whiteboard review of all three sections, taught from each student's own booklet, so the teaching is aimed at the marks they actually lost that morning.
- Wrap up: students take their booklets home, and parents get feedback and notes on the dashboard.
The OC test has three components and no writing paper, so the day covers Mathematical Reasoning, Reading and Thinking Skills, and nothing is spent on writing.

Good to know
- This course is in person at Parramatta only.
- It is a one off course rather than a term enrolment, so the multi-term discount does not apply.
- Places are strictly limited for each intake.

- It goes deeper than a short revision course: every day is a full timed set followed by a review of that student's own answers.
